The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Edith Inglis can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Maureen, I am saddened to hear about the loss of your mother. She was a wonderful lady. I have a fond memory of your mom and Mrs. Dutch. I volunteered to drive them both to the mall one December so they could do some shopping and have some lunch. I picked them up as scheduled and thoroughly enjoyed the ride back to Phin Avenue with those two great friends giggling and carrying on in the back seat! I will leave you with this little poem which I believe captures your mother's recent journey: I stood watching as the little ship sailed out to sea. The setting sun tinted the sails with a golden light and as it disappeared from sight a voice at my side whispered "she's gone". But the sea was a narrow one. On the farther shore a little band of friends and family had gathered to watch and wait in happy expectation. Suddenly, they caught sight of the tiny sail and at the very moment when my companion whispered, "she's gone", a joyous “Here she comes!” shouted up in celebration.
