Obituary for
Robin Elizabeth Armstrong
ARMSTRONG, Robin - It is with an aching sadness and bittersweet comfort that we announce that Robin Elizabeth Armstrong has found her peace. Our Robbie was a force of nature and determined to live life on her own terms. Robin lived through 14 years illness and the treatment for brain tumours. To Robin these were mere bumps in the road and she never did slow down for the bumps. She pursued raising her children, her career, her art; all with passion. She discovered scuba diving in the middle of all this and fell in love with Cozumel, Mexico. She was an accomplished Advanced Open Water Diver and could always spot her favourite Eagle Rays before anyone. This is a picture of her at her favourite place. “Mile 14”, really kilometer 37, but Robbie didn’t pay attention to road signs much either, she just knew when she was in the right place. And she always left the party on the high note.
Robin passed with all the grace and dignity with which she lived her life; quietly at home surrounded by family with the taste of chocolate and champagne and a final kiss goodbye.
Robin is survived by her loving husband Paul Armstrong; cherished mother of James Armstrong and Mairin Armstrong. Dear daughter of Michael and Collen (nee Smith) Baldwin. Robin is survived by her borthers John (Elizabeth) Baldwin, niece Kate and nephew Teskey, Andrew (Sally) Baldwin, nieces Zoe, Isabel and Paige and sister-in-law and brothers-in-law Douglas (Janice) Kidd and Family, Douglas (Shellie) Armstrong and Family, and John (June) Armstrong and Family.
