Obituary for Florent Joseph Proulx

…. A soul set free.

On November 17th 2016 we lost a husband, father, grandfather and a best friend. Florent Joseph Proulx “Flo” was born in Cheneville Quebec on December 31st 1932 to parents Joseph and Alexina (Lamothe). Flo was predeceased by his brothers Paulin, Noel, Andre, Gilbert and Real and his sisters Fernande, Rollande, Claudette and Noelline. He is survived by his sisters, Pauline, Marie and Idese. Flo was a loving husband of 46 years to Ruth (Jenkins), an amazing father to Laurie (Barb), Karen (Ivan), Leanne (Kyle), Jennifer (Michael) and Grandfather to Bradley, Laura, Korrine, Jordan, Rebecca and Nicholas. Flo was a jack-of-all-trades and loved a challenge – particularly the ones that he could solve! His creativity never ceased to amaze us all.

The family of Florent invite both family and friends to a Memorial Service at Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Boulevard, Cambridge, on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at 2 p.m. with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. A Memorial Celebration will follow the service in the reception suite of Lounsbury Funeral Home.

“He made this world a better place and will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him”
